Service Release 6 — with Feature Pack 3 for SUA users

Released September, 2008.

The sixth service release of Studio 7 SDK accompanies Service Release 10 with Feature Pack 3 of Studio 7, and introduces Feature Pack 3 for SDK users with Support and Upgrade Agreement (SUA). It also contains some improvements and bug fixes available to all users.

New Features (Requires Feature Pack 3 access):
  • Supports models created in Studio 7 where Feature Pack 3 features have been enabled. These models typically use the new INITIF function.
Improvements:
  • The value of permanent variables can now be changed also when the simulation has finished.
  • The Powersim Engine ActiveX Control is now listed as "Powersim Engine Control" in object browsers.
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed a problem experienced when using simulation objects with the Powersim Simulation Engine. This problem has been identified on computers running Windows Vista in combination with hardware-enabled DEP (Data Execution Protection).
  • Fixed problems sometimes experienced when the "Enforce time unit consistency" setting is switched off for the active simulation project.
  • Fixed some documentation errors regarding the parameters of the Reset method of the Powersim Engine ActiveX Control and the old IPsSim COM interface.

Service Release 5 — includes Feature Pack 2 for SUA users

Released April, 2008.

The fifth service release of Studio 7 SDK accompanies Service Release 8 with Feature Pack 2 of Studio 7, and includes Feature Pack 2 for SDK users with Support and Upgrade Agreement (SUA). It also contains some bug fixes available to all users.

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed problem with Latin Hypercube risk analyses when used in ASP applications.
  • Fixed problem that sometimes caused Simulation::AcquireValueHistory and ModelVariable::AcquireValueHistory to use extremely long time.
  • Fixed problem with the PRIORITYALLOC function sometimes causing the simulation to freeze.
  • Fixed problem with the SLIDINGINTEGRATE function when used with three parameters. This problem was introduced in Studio 7 SDK SR4.

Service Release 4 — with Feature Pack 2 for SUA users

Released February, 2008.

The fourth service release of Studio 7 SDK accompanies Service Release 6 with Feature Pack 2 of Studio 7, and introduces Feature Pack 2 for SDK users with Support and Upgrade Agreement (SUA). It also contains some improvements and bug fixes available to all users.

New Features (Requires Feature Pack 2 access):
  • New Ranges and Units collection objects available from the SimulationProject and SimulationComponent objects.
  • New Simulation methods: LoadExternalData and SaveExternalData.
  • Supports models created in Studio 7 where Feature Pack 2 features have been enabled. These models typically use the Database Dataset or new features in the Spreadsheet Dataset.
Improvements:
  • XLDATA function now supports Microsoft Excel 2007 files.
  • Improved delay functions making it easier to avoid circular definitions.
  • New Dimension properties: IsNumerical, First, and Last.
  • Connection variables are now accessible as Named Objects for the Spreadsheet Dataset. That is, you can use Simulation::Value and Simulation::AcquireValueHistory to get and set values for spreadsheet connection variables.
  • Index variables are now accessible as Named Objects.
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed probem with Simulation::State returning wrong value when loading simulations saved at the end of a run or at the end of the simulation.
  • Fixed problem with unit expressions where a unit is multiplied or divided by a scaled unit.
  • Fixed problem with POLICYGRID function when used inside a FOR loop.

Service Release 3 — includes Feature Pack 1 for SUA users

Released June, 2007.

The third service release of Studio 7 SDK accompanies Service Release 4 with Feature Pack 1 of Studio 7, and includes Feature Pack 1 for SDK users with Support and Upgrade Agreement (SUA). It also contains a few bug fix available to all users.

Bug Fixes:
  • Values are now recalculated immediately when parameters (Min, Max, Mean, Deviation, and Seed) of random functions (EXPRND, NORMAL, POISSON, and RANDOM) are changed.
  • Fixed problem with the INTERPOLATE function when used inside FOR loops.
  • Fixed problem with the ROUND function when used with complex numbers.  

Service Release 2 — with Feature Pack 1 for SUA users

Released April, 2007.

The second service release of Studio 7 SDK accompanies Service Release 3 with Feature Pack 1 of Studio 7, and introduces Feature Pack 1 for SDK users with Support and Upgrade Agreement (SUA). It also contains one bug fix available to all users.

New Features (Requires Feature Pack 1 access):
  • Supports models created in Studio 7 where Feature Pack 1 features have been enabled. These models typically use one of the new functions: PRIORITYALLOC, PRIORITYALLOCDISCRETE, INTERPOLATE, INTERPOLATEINV, SLIDINGMAX, SLIDINGMIN, SOURCESERIES, SOURCESERIESTIMES, SAMPLEIMM, and WEEKDAY.
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed issues regarding component names in neutral language.

Service Release 1

Released February, 2007.

The first service release of Studio 7 SDK contains one bug fix. You only need this critical update if you are using VBFUNCTION in the models opened from your SDK-based application(s).

Bug Fixes:  
  • Fixed VBFUNCTION problem experienced by some users in the first release of Studio 7 SDK.
