Troubleshooting Studio 7 Service Release 9

1. When trying to upgrade to Powersim Studio 8 Service Release 2 the installation fails.
By the end of the installation, you get the message that the Service Release 2 has not been installed. To solve this issue, first uninstall your previous Studio 8 version and then install the Service Release 2 you have downloaded. This should solve the problem, if it does not, please let us know.

2. Why is Performance Monitoring disabled in the menu?
You should have access to the new Performance Monitoring feature if you have installed Studio 7 Enterprise with Feature Pack 3 and have a valid SUA. Still you may experience that Performance Monitoring is disabled in the Tools menu.
The solution to this problem is to re-enter your license key information. To do this, please go to the Help menu and choose Upgrade License. Fill in your product key and click OK. You need to restart Studio 7 to make the Monitoring Performance feature work.

3. I cannot opening files of type *.sim. What is wrong?
Constructor (*.sim) models will not open with Service Release 9. This problem has been fixed and is available in an update to Service Release 9. Please download and install Service Release 9b.

4. Why do I get the error message "Cannot open file. Access is denied." when I try to open a file created by someone else?
You will get this error message if you use Studio 7 with Service Release 9 to open a file that was saved on a computer in a different time zone.
